301 M Street
For this project, Maurice Walters Architect provided architectural design services for the Planned Unit Development (PUD) application. In addition, 301 M Street went through the Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) and it was approved in concept for both. Maurice Walters Architect provided full architectural design services for the first phase: the South Tower Building.
The project is a multi-family residential development on a site located adjacent to the Waterfront Metro Station, in Southwest Washington, DC. The design keeps two existing residential towers designed by I.M. Pei, and replaces existing asphalt parking lots on the site with two new flanking 11-story residential towers, of 187 units each. The South Building was completed in the Summer of 2018.
